Some views of the Lochs and Bays I have visited

Loch Maree

Said by many to be the most beautiful loch in Scotland.

Loch Naver

Loch Naver 3pm. on a winters evening as the night mist comes down.  Looking southwest towards Altnaharra

Loch Ewe

Loch Ewe, Isle of Ewe on the left Ruhba Mor peninsula on the right.  A USA coastguard ship in for refuelling at the NATO base.  I caught my biggest ever fish off the Isle of Ewe an 11ft. conger eel

Loch Quoich

Loch Quoich   Sgurr Mor 1012 metres (3290 ft) with Sgurr na Ciche 1049 metres (3410 ft) and Ben Aiden in the distance.  Well worth the drive from Glen Garry.

Caolas Mor

Loch Hourn   The narrows of Caolas Mor through which is the main body of Loch Hourn, about 5 miles further on is the Sound of Sleat.

Kinlochourn

Kinlochourn on Loch Beag,  the road you see is from Loch Quoich with a lots of twists and ups and downs and the same width with a distinct shortage of passing places !  It could accurately be described as hair-raising.

Glenelg Bay

To get to Glenelg you must go over the Mam Rattanach a long steep climb, but rest halfway and take in Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail.    Just before Glenelg you can detour to visit the Dun Telve and Dun Troddan brochs, the best preserved in Scotland, or through the village to Arnisdale and Corran on Loch Hourn.

Dunstaffnage Bay

Strictly speaking this is not Dunstaffnage Bay, that ones full of yachts, motorboats etc.   This is round the back of the castle the yacht has just left the bay,  it's very peaceful and just so restful.
